Caldes de Montbui, a stunning little Roman town, nestled at the foot of the Pyrenees, a must visit, to feel recharged
Old Roman baths that are in the heart of this quaint town, dating back to 100BC, are the most well preserved in the Iberian Peninsula.
Remnants of old Roman times are hugely visible and a super attraction for visitors to see.
7 hot spring fountains are scattered around the town & the main square fountain is a hot hot 74 degrees (so bring your teabag) 🔥😀☕️

Adults only accommodation at Hotel Broquetas Caldes de Montbui, the oldest building in this beautiful Roman town. With stunning gardens and outdoor and indoor heated pool area, you will be at your most relaxed as soon as you arrive. Old Roman style spa, to offer you the tranquility that you deserve on this weekend Catalonian retreat.
Tapa and Cava welcome reception – All meals included, breakfast, lunch, dinner, plus a Gala Al Fresco dinner with drinks on the Saturday night. We have late check out on the Sunday, no need to rush.
Friday evening we have privately booked a natural hot spring tranquil Roman Bath experience for our group, which is looked over by the towns old towered church.
This 40-minute calming soak, under the stars, will set you up for your morning hike the very next day.
Our aim is for you to Relax the mind, body, soul & giving you that extra quality care for a good night’s sleep.
Saturday morning we take you on a moderate, soft hiking adventure (approx. 2.5hrs) through the stunning mountain range of the Pyrenees. Starting from our hotel we walk through the old town , to the foot of the mountain and hike up towards the most stunning view of Caldes. Steeped in woodland areas, dusty rocky trails, we let ourselves go and breath in the power of what the Pyrenees has to offer. Suitable trekking footwear is a must for this Catalonia hiking experience. Post hike lunch to help you feel revitalized, rest, wander the old town, relax and get ready for your gala dinner, with wine. A super experience for beginner hikers.
Sunday morning we enjoy the stunning Broquetas Hotel spa experience. Choose your treatment from our list provided and relax into a 30 minute wonderful experience, all part of your package. All treatments must be pre booked so they will have the perfect therapist for you, so first come first serve on times when booking. Jocelyn will give you the choices and available times on booking your place on this amazing retreat and will book them for you. So you choose and we will sort it out for you.
You will enjoy the magic of the town, and as hotel is the oldest in the town, situated in the heart of it all, you are a stones throw away from beautiful shops, bars, cafes. Also from your hotel you are facing old ruins of Roman baths and the main square fountain which is a hot hot 74degrees. Flowing beautifully from a old stone lions head. And a few feet away is the stunning park with historical bridges to take in. It is so beautiful to stroll around or sit have a coffee or a beer and watch the world go by.
